"My work conceptualizes the acts of being “seen” and “looked at” into movement-based performance. I draw upon the reality that performance is a created situation where the dancers can be both real and representational, and my work straddles between the two. I create a multiplicity of identities by layering characters, images, and ideas that cannot be pinned down to radicalize the way identity comes to be defined. I construct areas that are gray. Currently, these concepts have distilled into an exploration of femininity, sexuality, and the body through a cast of women performers."
